A connectome is a comprehensive map of neural connections in the brain.
The production and study of connectomes, known as connectomics, may range in scale from a detailed map of the full set of neurons and synapses within part or all of the nervous system of an organism to a macro scale description of the functional and structural connectivity between all cortical areas and subcortical structures.
The term "connectome" is used primarily in scientific efforts to capture, map, and understand the organization of neural interactions within the brain. One such effort is the Human Connectome Project, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, whose focus is to build a network map of the human brain in healthy, living adults. Another was the successful reconstruction of all neural and synaptic connections in C. elegans (White et al., 1986,[1] Varshney et al., 2011[2]).
Partial connectomes of a mouse retina [3] and mouse primary visual cortex [4] have also been successfully reconstucted. Bock et al.'s complete 12TB data set is publicly available at Open Connectome Project.

Brain Talking Only To Itself

Objective
Is there a connection between the external world to consciousness?

Brain Talking Mostly To Itself
For every neuron that receives its input from the outside world, there are ten to a hundred others that do not.

The brain is therefore talking mostly to itself, and no information from the world (with
the exception of olfaction) runs directly from a sensory receptor to the cortex, where the contents of consciousness appear to be sequestered.

There are always one or two breaks in the circuit—synapses—giving the neurons in question the opportunity to integrate feedback information, or information from other regions of the brain. This sort of integration/contamination of signal explains how certain drugs, emotional states, or even conceptual insights can radically alter the character of our experience.

NeuroPhilosophy

Objective
To link all philosophy concepts to the common neural basis in the human brain. When one deliberate in philosophical issues, one should ask, what neurons and synapses are firing. To inculcate the awareness that humans are neural beings or synaptic beings.

What is neurophilosophy
Neurophilosophy is the interdisciplinary study of neuroscience and philosophy. Work in this field is often separated into two distinct methods.
The first method attempts to solve problems in philosophy of mind with empirical information from the neurosciences.
The second method attempts to clarify neuroscientific results using the conceptual rigor and methods of philosophy of science. wiki

The objective Approach
Neurophilosophy explores the relevance of neuroscientific data to arguments in thought, knowledge, beliefs, and reasoning are functions of the brain and will eventually be explained in terms of neurons, synapses, and the details of human brain structure. This scientific approach contrasts strongly with idealism, and/or the appeal to the existence of a Platonic soul that thinks, feels and desires. Brain based materialist explanations such as the appreciation of color vision typify neurophilosophy, whereas other approaches may involve qualia or sense data being organized by an independent mind (Kant).

IMO, it is unlikely that we wil eventually know with absoluteness how the neurons and synapses account for human thought and behavior. However we can get closer to it which would expand the human potential to face greater threats and sustain the core purpose of humanity.

The Neural Being Approach
Humans are neural beings. On this basis, neurophilosophy explores the relevance of neuroscientific data to arguments in thought, knowledge, beliefs, and reasoning are functions of the brain and it underlying basis in terms of neurons, synapses, and the details of human brain structure.

Philosophers
Prominent philosophers in this field are Daniel Dennett and David Chalmers. The pair of philosophers who have brought wide attention to this field (in both of these forms) are Patricia and Paul Churchland.

Philosophy of Philosophy

Objective
It is said that for every philosophy theory, there is always two opposite views that is eternally never resolved or agreed between the two camps.
To establish, what is the common Philosophy of philosophy. What are humans pursuing philosophy for? The essence of the philosophy of philosophy (POP) should serve the core purpose of humanity through the generic spiritual process of human being.

What is the core purpose of Philosophy of philosophy
Philosophy is the love and pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. The Essence of Philosophy is represented by the main activities and elements of Inquiry, Knowledge, Meaning of life, Reasoning, Truth, and Wisdom. However, the process of philosophy must be done for some specific core purpose. Generally, philosophy is sneered at, as some intellectual and academic pursuit that do not serve much purpose. That is due to ignorance and the inability to link philosophy to the main purpose of life and humanity.

The core purpose of Philosophy of philosophy is to exploit philosophy to develop the generic pscyho-neural spiritual process and optimize the spirituality of the individual to meet the core purpose of humanity.

Justifications
The following will explain the essence of the Philosophy of philosophy.

The trend of knowledge advancement
Since humans first appear on Earth, human knowledge had been advancing slowly, with periodic quantum leaps and accelerated in the last 500 years to the present. The underlying machinery is philosophy, i.e. the pursuit of knowledge via the elements of its essence.

However note that the accumulated knowledge and its potential is on a positive trend. With this accumulated knowledge, humanity has now increased its capability to handle greater threats that is capable of destroying the human specie.

As human knowledge increases, at the same time, it is also aware of greater potential threats. In the past, ignorant was bliss, until we become aware of the danger of the possibility of large meteorite hitting and destroying earth. Humans are also aware of the limited resources of the Sun, interconnected global warming, black holes, dark matters, etc. Humanity must therefore rely on philosophy as the underlying base to increase human knowledge exponentially to keep up with the knowledge of potential threats that could wipe off the human specie.

With humans, knowledge is a double-sided blade. We need philosophy to ensure that the 'blade' cuts correctly for the benefit of humanity. The exploration of philosophy inwards into the neural and synaptic levels of the human brain will enable humans to tune the generic spiritual process to increase the spiritual development optimally so as to sustain the core purpose of humanity.
